Lay:-11.84 pts (83% SR)

Not our best day today, finishing -15.75 points. It was a challenging outing for Race-AI as we had high hopes for several selections, but ultimately fell short of our goals. We made 70 bets across various strategies, with our win strategy yielding a disappointing success rate and our lay strategy resulting in more losses than anticipated. However, every result provides us valuable insights. Let’s dive deeper into the numbers to see what we can learn moving forward.

Win Selections

Today’s win performance was lackluster, with only three winners amongst our selections.

Cargin Bhui - Wolverhampton 1:12
Join The Midnite Movement Handicap
📊 Result: 1st (WON) | Odds: 3.62 | P&L: +2.62 pts
An impressive run saw Cargin Bhui take the lead early on and maintain pace throughout, showcasing stamina that paid off well.

Una Matata - Dundalk 6:15
Put The Fun In Fundraising At Dundalk Handicap
📊 Result: 1st (WON) | Odds: 3.50 | P&L: +2.50 pts
This horse delivered a strong performance, timing its move perfectly to push ahead in the final furlong.

Ribble Vibe - Wolverhampton 4:22
Midnite: Built For 2026 Not 2006 Handicap (GBBPlus Race)
📊 Result: 1st (WON) | Odds: 3.25 | P&L: +2.25 pts
Ribble Vibe showed great resilience down the stretch, breaking clear of the pack to secure victory against stiff competition.

Overall, while we secured three wins, we didn’t manage to capitalize enough on promising odds or confidence levels today.

Place Selections

Our place laying strategy targeted horses we expected to finish outside the places successfully today, achieving strong results with multiple lays not placing as anticipated.

Sonic Si - Wolverhampton 1:12
📊 Result: 7th | P&L: +1.00 pts | LAY WON ✅
Perfect execution! Sonic Si fell far back as predicted, allowing us to bank a solid profit here.

Dequinto - Wolverhampton 2:12
📊 Result: 9th | P&L: +1.00 pts | LAY WON ✅
Another strong lay! Dequinto finished well outside contention as we foresaw, ensuring profit for us.

Mishy's Star - Wolverhampton 2:42
📊 Result: 5th | P&L: +1.00 pts | LAY WON ✅
Great call here; Mishy’s Star couldn’t capitalize and finished outside the top placements as expected.

We applied our strategy effectively by focusing on horses likely to underperform relative to market expectations, accumulating a positive return on several lays even amidst an overall loss for the day.

Lay Selections

In our win laying strategy today, we aimed at horses expected not to secure victory but unfortunately faced some setbacks with key selections winning instead:

Luna Beaux - Wolverhampton 3:52
📊 Result: 6th | SP: 7.60 | P&L: +1.00 pts | LAY WON ✅
Solid lay! Luna Beaux did not threaten the leaders and finished well down the field as anticipated.

Glory Fighter - Newcastle 6:00
📊 Result: 7th | SP: 9.01 | P&L: -8.01 pts | LAY LOST ❌
This lay backfired; Glory Fighter outran expectations and placed higher than predicted, costing us considerably.

With several other selections failing to perform according to our analysis but ultimately winning their races, it was a rough day for our win laying approach despite some successful lays against longer shots.

What Worked

Today highlighted that our place laying strategy was effective overall; many of the horses we laid did indeed fail to finish in their respective places as we forecasted correctly in most cases. Our success came particularly from fields exceeding ten runners where our analysis of race dynamics proved accurate—especially in handicaps where lower-tier competitors often struggle against stronger entries.

What Didn't Work

The main shortfall today stemmed from misunderstandings regarding certain race dynamics that led us astray—particularly in races where favorites performed unexpectedly well given previous form analyses or track conditions that didn't align with pre-race predictions. Additionally, considerable competition among runners who outperformed their projected metrics left us exposed in several key lays that cost us significant points.

How RaceNet AI Learns & Improves

Going forward, we intend to refine how data is interpreted related to specific racers' performances in varying conditions—tuning parameters within RaceNet based on today's outcomes will help enhance predictions around which horses are more likely to succeed versus those who should be laid against consistently moving forward into future events.

Looking Ahead

While today's performance wasn’t what we aimed for at –15.75 points, we remain committed to transparency and continual improvement through learning from every result encountered along this journey together. Each setback helps recalibrate our approaches and strengthens future strategies; onwards and upwards!
